1948 Panhead Chopper "The Saga Continues"
Sooo its been a while since I have posted on the progress of the panhead and I figured I better get something out there for people to see. While the project has been slow going progress has continued. As many of you know projects like this come with lots of unknown's and there is as much time spent trying to source and or make parts and components as there is actually working on the project. I found it funny last night, as I was working away in the garage and had taken the combination of gear shift linkage, foot control and regulator mount apart for the third time as I was fitting everything together correctly I found myself reflecting back to a show I had seen on you tube the night before "you know one of those shows where they can custom build a complete vehicle in a matter of days" I just chuckled to myself as I thought of all the projects and potential customers I had passed on over the years that had no idea what it really takes to tackle a real build and do things the right way with quality work and craftsmanship. I do not do work for people that do not understand what an undertaking these kinds of tasks actually are. Those of you that build things, rebuild things etc. I am sure can appreciate where I am coming from. Well hopefully the pics and updates tide people over for a bit, until next time keep having fun, building dreams and bustin knuckles!!!
